KLINIK SANTE FANM: Giving haitian women the right to dignified healthcare

In Haiti, being a woman means carrying the weight of the family, children, work, and often an entire community on your shoulders. But it also means facing a healthcare system that often forgets or neglects them.

Even today, thousands of Haitian women face alarming realities:

  1. One of the highest maternal mortality rates in the region.

  2. Limited access to gynecological and obstetric care.

  3. Persistent taboos surrounding sexual and reproductive health.

  4. The cost of medical consultations, which is often beyond their means.

  5. The lack of psychological support tailored to their realities.

These obstacles cost lives. They prevent women from living healthy lives, leading fulfilling lives, and caring for their families.

Faced with this situation, Vizit Doktè decided to take action with the project: Klinik sante fanm, a clinic designed by and for women.

Our vision is simple: to offer every woman an accessible, respectful, and comprehensive healthcare space where she can find answers tailored to her needs. At Klinik sante fanm, every woman will be able to:

  1. Access specialized care (gynecology, obstetrics, pregnancy monitoring, screening).

  2. Receive mental health support to break the silence around stress, depression, or trauma.

  3. Being listened to and understood, in a space of dignity and trust.

  4. Participating in prevention and awareness programs to protect your health and that of your family.

Women's health is the foundation of a society's development. A healthy woman means a stronger family, better protected children, and a more resilient community. With Klinik sante fanm, we want to reduce maternal deaths, encourage prevention, and give women back their fundamental right to live in good health. It's not just a clinic. It's a movement for the dignity of Haitian women, a response to the injustices experienced by thousands of mothers, daughters, and sisters across the country.

At Vizit Doktè, we believe that protecting women's health means protecting Haiti's future.
